About the Role: The Duty Medical Officer (DMO) plays a crucial role in providing round-the-clock medical care to inpatients and emergency cases, ensuring quality patient care and timely medical response.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Provide medical care and monitor patient progress during assigned shifts (day/night).
- Attend to emergency cases and stabilize patients before specialist intervention.
- Carry out routine ward rounds and document patient conditions in the medical records.
- Administer prescribed treatments, medications, and IV therapies as advised by consultants.
- Coordinate with consultants for patient updates and escalations as required.
- Respond promptly to Code Blue/Code Red situations and participate in resuscitation efforts.
- Ensure proper handover to the next shift doctor, maintaining continuity of care.
- Supervise and guide nursing and support staff in clinical procedures when needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and ensure documentation compliance.
- Ensure infection control protocols and hospital policies are strictly followed.
Our Ideal Candidate Has:
- Qualifications: MBBS from a recognized university (MCI-registered).
- Experience: 0–5 years (freshers may be considered based on performance and attitude).
- Certifications: BLS/ACLS preferred.
- Key Skills: Clinical decision-making and emergency handling, patient care and bedside manners, communication and coordination with the clinical team, ability to work in rotational shifts, strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
