Your Core Responsibilities: - Diagnose and manage surgical disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, liver, pancreas, and biliary system. - Perform elective and emergency GI surgeries, including laparoscopic and open procedures. - Conduct preoperative assessments, develop surgical plans, and provide postoperative care. - Manage complications related to GI surgeries, including infections, bleeding, and anastomotic issues. - Collaborate with gastroenterologists, oncologists, and critical care teams for comprehensive patient management. - Supervise and mentor junior surgeons, residents, and nursing staff in the surgical gastroenterology department. - Maintain accurate surgical records, operative notes, and patient documentation. - Ensure adherence to patient safety protocols, infection control, and hospital guidelines. - Participate in clinical research, audits, quality improvement, and teaching activities.
