PICU Staff Nurse

About the Role: As a PICU Staff Nurse, you will provide specialized nursing care to critically ill infants and children, making a significant impact on their recovery and well-being.

What You'll Be Doing: - Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill infants and children in the PICU. - Continuously monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythm, oxygen saturation, and neurological status. - Operate and manage PICU equipment including ventilators, monitors, infusion pumps, and syringe pumps. - Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and nutritional support as prescribed. - Assist pediatric intensivists during procedures, intubation, central line insertion, and emergencies. - Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation, charts, and handover reports. - Follow strict infection control practices and PICU safety protocols. - Provide emotional support and counseling to parents and caregivers.
