As an Attending Consultant/Associate Consultant in Microbiology, you will engage in critical clinical duties directly impacting patient outcomes.
Your Core Responsibilities:
- Examine and interpret clinical samples including blood, urine, sputum, and swabs for infectious agents.
- Perform bacteriology, virology, mycology, and parasitology testing using conventional and molecular methods.
- Advise clinicians on appropriate tests, antimicrobial therapy, and infection control measures.
- Prepare and review accurate microbiology reports in a timely manner.
- Monitor laboratory quality control, biosafety, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintain and supervise laboratory equipment, reagents, and technical staff.
- Participate in outbreak investigations and hospital infection surveillance programs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient diagnosis and management.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- DNB in Microbiology.
- 1 to 5 Years of relevant work experience.
- Strong decision-making, attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
