As a Surgical Oncologist, you will play a critical role in patient care and health outcomes.
Your Core Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and surgically manage a wide range of cancers, including solid tumors and complex oncologic conditions.
- Perform cancer-related surgeries such as tumor resections, biopsies, lymph node dissections, and minimally invasive procedures.
- Collaborate with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, and pathologists to create comprehensive treatment plans.
- Evaluate patients through clinical examination, imaging studies, and biopsy results to determine surgical eligibility.
- Manage perioperative care, including pre-operative assessment, surgical planning, and post-operative follow-up.
- Provide expertise in advanced surgical techniques, including laparoscopic, robotic, and organ-preserving approaches.
- Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, surgical options, risks, expected outcomes, and recovery.
