Your Core Responsibilities:
- Prepare the CTOT with required sterile instruments, consumables, and equipment before surgery.
- Assist the cardiac/thoracic surgeon during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
- Ensure proper sterilization, counting, and handling of surgical instruments, sponges, and needles.
- Anticipate surgical needs during complex cardiothoracic procedures for smooth workflow.
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques and infection control standards at all times.
- Assist in patient positioning, draping, and skin preparation for surgery.
- Coordinate with anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and OT staff during procedures.
- Monitor and document surgical counts and OT records accurately.
